‘The Redtails’ boasts star galaxy

New Iranian comedy ‘The Redtails’ by Arash Moayerian is set to premiere in Iran soon.

The family comedy boasting a long string of stars from Iranian cinema will be screened in Iranian capital city of Tehran as well as other provinces.

Reza Shafiei-Jam, Javad Razavian, Andisheh Fouladvand, Behnoosh Bakhtiyari, Ali Sadeghi, Reza Naji, Shohreh Lorestani and Majid Yasser are the actors of this comedy film.

An intriguing point for ifilmers about this new flick may well be that ‘The Grand Prize’ star Reza Shafiei-Jam takes on a cross-gender role as a woman.

In 2002, the actor was nominated for an Iran Cinema Celebration award for Best Male Actor in a Supporting Role for 'Low Heights' (2001).

He has acted in series such as 'Children's Cable TV' (1992), 'No Words Needed' (2001), 'Aqaqiya Alley' (2003), 'Dotted Line' (2004), 'Barareh Nights' (2005), 'Mozaffar’s Garden' (2006), 'Sweet and Sour' (2007), 'Checkered' (2007), 'A Message from the Afterlife' (2008), 'In the Eye of the Storm' (2008), 'I'm Just Kidding' (2013) and 'Kimia' (2015).

Shafiei-Jam has also appeared in movies such as 'The Wrong Guy' (1998), 'The Miracle of Laughter' (1999), 'My Duckling' (2002), 'Pink' (2002), 'The Wrong Wife' (2005), 'Tickles' (2006), 'The Extremists' (2009), 'Wedding Rings' (2009), 'Red Light' (2009), 'Shy Suitor' (2009), 'Hanging in the Balance' (2010) and 'A Runaway from Bagbo' (2011).
